Since 1996 the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force not only has preserved and shared the stories of the Mighty Eighth Air Force, it has also connected people with lessons in courage, duty, service and sacrifice. The extraordinary deeds of the men and women of the Eighth Air Force saved the world from tyranny.

The transformation is well underway:

Expanding the museum for an improved visitor experience and state-of-the-art permanent exhibitions that invite audiences to step into the shoes of heroes; furnishing greater public access to and engagement with the most significant collection of World War II Eighth Air Force material history in the world; and growing the endowment to ensure the museum’s viability in perpetuity.
