The National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force is honoring the heroes who gave their lives during World War II.
The museum is hosting it’s fifth annual “Flags for the Fallen” event. The event began with a ceremony Friday morning.
Throughout the memorical garden, 26,000 flags have been placed. Each flag represents an airmen who gave their lives during World War Two.
All three days of the event, there will be a Memorial Flag Garden along with living historians.
