The National Museum of the Mighty Eighth will be commemorating the 75th Anniversary of D-Day with programs throughout the day. ADMISSION IS $8 FOR EVERYONE ON D-DAY (WWII Veterans and children under 6 are always FREE)  

D-Day Remembrance Service

9:30 am | Chapel of the Fallen Eagles Start this day by hearing General Eisenhower’s D-Day “Order of the Day” message to the Allied Forces and President Roosevelt’s D-Day radio address.  

Good Morning from the City of Savannah

Starts at 10:00 am | Combat Gallery D-Day messages will be broadcast throughout the day from the radio of the Museum’s B-17, City of Savannah.  

Prelude to D-Day

11:00 am | Art Gallery Join Brig. Gen. Charles Cabell, Jr. USAF, Ret. as he shares his father’s (General Charles Cabell) involvement as Chief of Plans for the United States Strategic Air Forces in 1944 in D-Day decisions.  

Conversations with the Greatest Generation

1:00 pm – 3:00 pm | Through museum Interact with World War II veterans as they recount their service and sacrifice to our country.   *all events are free with regular admission
