The National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force will commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the end of World War II with Virtual Victory. A special message from actor Gary Sinise will kick off this inaugural fundraiser broadcast to supporters around the world on Friday, August 28, 2020, at 7 pm ET. Sinise’s uncle, 1Lt Jack Sinise served with the 379th Bomb Group and completed 30 missions in World War II.

CNN broadcaster, Mighty Eighth Trustee, and granddaughter of Eighth Veteran Frank Murphy, Chloe Melas, will host the program from her home in New York. The program will include interviews with Eighth Air Force veterans and memories from the loved ones of Eighth Air Force veterans. Viewers will receive a special look at never-before-seen collections and upcoming exhibits at the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force, and a few surprises.

Virtual Victory will begin August 28, 2020 at 7 pm ET on Vimeo and Facebook (@mighty8thmuseum). Stream opens at 6:30 pm ET. Supporters are encouraged to text MIGHTY8 to 24365 to receive updates and make contributions to the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force.
