Dr. Deborah Dash Moore, a Frederick G.L. Huetwell Professor of History and Judaic Studies at the University of Michigan, will speak on the Jewish Soldier in World War II. Professor Moore’s presentation is based on her award-winning book, GI Jews: How World War II Changed a Generation. Using memoirs, oral histories and letters, the author traces the lives of fifteen Jewish servicemen. The program is free and open to the public, however reservations are requested.
